How to handle when the thread broken abnormally？
Hello, friends, today we gonna talk about the issue of thread breaking in the running process of computer embroidery machine. Some customers are very concerned about this issue because it caused them some annoyance. Now let's share how to solve this problem.
Generally speaking, for thread broken, there are two situations, that is : regular broken and irregular broken. There are different reasons for these two situations and different ways to deal with them.
Reasons for regular broken:
Reason 1:
The clearance between the needle and the hook is incorrect, and the needle position is too high or too low, so it needs to be readjusted.
Reason 2:
There are burrs in the needle hole and needle plate hole of the machine. Or there are burrs in the rotary hook or positioning hook.
Reason 3:
The part that passes the thread is not smooth, including the clamping plate, the clamping screw, the hole for the thread take-up rod, the upper and lower thread racks, etc. All non-smooth or burrs should be smoothed or replaced.
Reason 4:
The needle is installed backwards, it needs to be re-installed correctly. Or the needle tip is damaged or the needle is stained with glue. Then you should replace the needle.
Reason 5:
The thread take-up cam is damaged. Then you should replace the thread take-up cam.
Reason 6:
The hook shaft moves.
Reason 7:
There are scratches and damages on the thread surface of the hook.
Reasons for regular broken:
Reason 1:
The ambient humidity is too high, the thread is damp, and it need to be replaced with a new one.
Reason 2:
There is a problem with your embroidery pattern design. You need to change the stitching.
Reason 3:
The quality of the thread does not meet the requirements, and the installation of the thread is also unsatisfactory. Or the embroidery thread is too thick and does not match the size of the needle. Then you should replace the thread and reinstall.
Reason 4:
There is a gap in the transmission of the upper and lower shafts or the shaft is broken, causing the machine head and the hook to be out of sync. Then you should check the gearbox, adjust the chain slack or the gearbox timing belt.
Reason 5:
The surface of the embroidery thread is rough. Then you should add silicone oil to the surface of the embroidery thread.
